Beltie Blend

Our very own blend of White Marble and Grey Whinstone. This hardwearing stone can be used for driveways and walkways. But the colour contrast also brings a contemporary look to garden borders and planters. 


Cotswold

Buff/beige angular 20mm limestone gravel, ideal for paths and groundcover, its warm golden/cream tones bring light to dark areas. Also used for garden borders and planters. However, as it's a limestone, the plants must be tolerable of lime.

Granite Chip

Sourced from within Dumfries & Galloway, this quarried stone is available in 14mm and 20mm. This hard wearing, angular shape is ideal footpaths and driveways. Each stone shows off blacks, whites, grays and silvers with a hint of pink.

Heatherstone

Mix of Reds and Grey give a unique look to this stone. Being a chip makes it ideal for walkways and drives. 

Highland Toffee

Highland Toffee is a mixture toffee brown tones and creams. It is a hard wearing angular stone making it ideal for large ground coverage areas including driveways and pathways. It can also be used for any garden project, flower beds, borders etc.

Lanark Red

Rich, vibrant red angular stone, in 20mm its great for driveways or giving a Mediterranean look to a garden. Now available in 14mm

Slate - Plum

Mainly used for borders and planters, this vibrant item will give colour to any garden. Because of its unique shape, it brings a contemporary look to a garden. Stock of this item may vary as will colour, so please check with us close to ordering.

Solent Gold

Our most popular gravel. A mix of smooth and angular stone helps reduce movement. This bright golden flint stone is resistant to fading.

Yorkshire Cream

Also known as Cotters Gold, this flint stone is a mixture of mainly creams with brown and white. Ideal for must jobs in the garden.

Whinstone Chip

Extremely hard-wearing and available in a number of sizes, of which 20mm is our most popular. Due to its angular shape,it is perfect for driveways, footpaths and large ground cover. Its colour is made up of a variety of grey tones that, when wet, change to a dark grey, almost black.

White Marble

Hard-wearing 20mm European sourced white chips. Ideal for borders and ground cover. Can be used for footpaths and it's even been used for driveways


Scottish Moray Cobbles

50-80mm. Great decorative stone in the garden and around water features but, unlike Scottish Pebbles, not suitable for drainage.

Scottish Pebbles

40mm. Originally from the sea, these rounded pebbles have been smoothed over time. They look fantastic in water features and in garden borders. Also an excellent stone for drainage.

Scottish Gravel

10mm or 20mm traditional mix of stones from the sea. Looks good on paths and borders or as part of a feature in your garden. Traditionally used for pipe bedding and drainage.

Feature Stones

Make an instant focal point in a garden. Great for a natural look or as an interesting feature in a modern garden.

Top Soil

We supply a graded top soil that can be passed through an 8mm mesh, depending on time of year and weather conditions at the time. This means the soil is a good fine product 

Hardcore

H. Thomson & Son supply both Type 1 and Type 2 hardcore sub base materials for road and other construction projects.

Sands/Mixed Agg

A range of sands are available. Building sand, sharp sand, mixed 10mm and 20mm Ballasts

Cement

Sold in 25kg bags for collection or delivery combined with our sands and ballasts

Concrete

We can supply concrete for a range of projects throughout south-west Scotland.
